Sylas Rainn

Congratulations Chris and Nikki. Thank you for allowing me to photograph you're little guy.

Dianna Brown

Has stolen my cameras  soul. Like only one other model has. (brigit rock, duh?)

She will go as far as she wants to. I've had faith in the girl from day one.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is get tangled up

I am never going to be sure what the "politically correct" way is to express my appreciate for this shoot. There is really nothing I can say that wont sound dirty, or like I am a screaming feminist. I am neither. I like women, I also like men. So yea..I liked doing this shoot. But I liked it because it was sexy, beautiful and passionate. Not just because it was sexy.

Thank you Very much Megan and Tiffany for shedding your inhibitions..and uh, you're clothes...Yea :)

Camera Phone blog 2.0

In my previous camera phone blog I Mentioned that I think sometimes, they are worth it. (in more complicated words, Im sure)

Here are some more photos I have snapped over time that I can see being part of my life's scrap book :)

This is the gift I got my Pseudo Dad for fathers day, Its an inside joke.

Road Tripping to FL with the r1, which came in super handy for the whole trip. I would say I took most of the vacation pictures with this camera instead of my SLR. Never under estimate the power of a Sony.

Goliath riding In the back on a road trip. and no, this is not my car. I wish my car was this clean...Maybe if I cleaned it? Hm.

I dont recommend taking photos while driving. But this is another inside thing that just must be done :)

I made a castle out of money when I was tipsy at the bar with my sister.

Fat Chicks love chilli dogs. Case in Point.

My poor Subby got snowed in...for like five seconds. Dear Weather, Bite me. I have a Subaru :)

This is my boyfriends cat, who I secretly like more than my kitten. I think its because I got cats, because I wanted cat like attitudes...and my cats act more like children than cats. And his cat acts like a cat. Im jealous, I'll admit it haha.

Random right? Its one of the first photos I took with my new phone, and I like it because its all me. Power lounging in monkey pajamas and weird angles with strange colors.

I've had this wig for quite some time, and every time I wear it I feel invincible. Its my super hero costume.
Its going to sound emo-tastic, but it reminds me of a time in my life many moons ago when I had no responsibilities and I could have blue hair if I wanted to (and I did) My buddy "rico" got this for me two birthdays ago and I have adored it ever since.

I am sure some will argue that they have a life and bills and blue hair....and I will argue that none of you are trying to be radiologists, I am. :P

Tabatha

I haven't updated in forever, I have some new work but here is my latest. I may post a few new blogs over time so I don't bog down the lovely folks that I have forcefully subscribed to my blog  :-) ---thanks guys ;)

This is Tabatha. One of her very first shoots, I look forward to working with her again. She is a tiny woman, but she delivers. Once again proving dynamite comes in small packages.

Thanks!

Zombeigh

Ashleigh Zombie and I have been trying to get together for a shoot FOREVER. I mean really, its been years. One thing or another has always gotten in our way and we finally made it happen a few weeks ago and I was pleased with the results. It was what I call a "test shoot" meaning, I didnt have a plan for what style of lighting, dress or theme I wanted for the shoot. (I guess the standard term for this would be poorly organized, but I like my term better.)

I would also like to add that I LOVE shooting curvy woman who are comfortable in their own skin. I love working with any model who is comfortable in their own skin, because you get a particular "sass" that can only come from a sane amount of confidence in ones own body. But being that I am a curvy woman my self, I have a bit of a personal attachment to the creativity that comes with photographing chubby women.

Ladies and Gents, Ashleigh Zombie. Thank you VERY much for working with me Doll, I am looking forward to our next shoot.

Vicious

Lady V is one of my favorite people to work with - yeah, I play favorites. Everyone does.

We've done two recent-er shoots and I have been a slacker recently so I have not posted them, but here we go.

Shoot A:

These were my favorite 2 images from this set.

Set B:

Since we've met and began working together this woman has grown into a photographer of her own. She says I helped her get started...and it warms my heart to hear that because I have always wondered what I was going to do to "repay" the man who helped me get started(other than obviously, doing well myself)....and I guess my answer is here in this girl, I inspired someone else to follow their dream. Shes doing very well and I am very proud of her. I think we've started to mesh together creatively as well, we are starting to inspire each other to do better, grow and go farther. It is my humble opinion that the best food for a creative mind is another creative mind. And of course the passion to pursue.

Camera Phone Blog 1

I hate the camera phone as a practical form of taking photographs, its a bad idea. HOWEVER....with the right camera phone, certain things can be accomplished that are worth a gander.

Examples of photos I have taken on my phone, or friends and family have sent to me  that I think tell stories.

My buddy and I were playing wii bowling, and I wanted an action shot so I took this shot of the TV. wii may be a video game but...its probably the coolest thing I've ever played and I am a video game geek.

.

this is the coolest story I've got from this whole post. This was taken by my brother in law Eric. Its the VERY first time I saw my brand new nephew Chandler "fred" Wyatt.I told him I wanted a picture of him while he was still raw, before they cleaned him up and before he was happy. I wanted to see his first moment so I could share part of that memory with my sister for EVER. and he delivered what I think is the perfect raw moment picture ever, and with a camera phone. I felt like I could reach out and touch him. Btw...we call him Fred because for the longest time while he was still cooking, she couldnt make up her mind on a name. therefore...my other sister dubbed him FRED. and so..he is Fred, forever. We like Chandler. But he is stuck with Fred forever.

Have you ever met someone who gets you? This guy gets me. He doesn't always LIKE me, but he definitely understands me. And what he doesn't understand he doesn't try to understand, but he accepts with open arms. He is by far the closest thing I've got to a father. And We have these monkeys. I just carry mine around in the car, but he has this super cool thing that I always childishly look forward to. He sends pictures of this guy in, on and around various things during road trips. Its a very special thing to me. I have kept almost all of these images and always look forward to the next one.

I work retail, electronics mostly. Because I am a nerd it just works out for me. Every now and again something happens at work that is too weird for words. THIS is a broken plasma. with a high contrast glass plate. the TV is shattered beneath the glass plate. The glass plate was entirely in tact and...it was one of the coolest things I have seen at my job. It sucks for the company, but man what a sight.

This is Professor Lupin (Look, I have said like 14 million times I am a nerd, dont be surprised)
He is my "fostered out ferret" my friend Jessica has him...I dont even really consider him mine anymore. Her kids are attached to him now and well...as cool as I think it would be to have him back, I dont take him back because I dont want to hurt their feelings. and my two cats drive me crazy as it is lol.

as a complete side note:Ferrets are often hated on for a list of reasons I've never agreed with. The most ridiculous of which is that they stink. Like any rodent like animal, if you dont take care of them properly...YES they stink. So if your ferret stinks, your a bad ferret owner and should do it right. Lupin has never smelled bad, neither did the ferret I had as a child. Bath once a week, change the cage bedding out completely once every two weeks and litter box train the little guy/girl and its a non-issue. If you dont want to do the work, dont own the animal.

Back to the point. I think I will do a few of these posts now and again. Camera phones capture some interesting things. I find them completely impractical for anything you want to print and frame. But if your only goal is to capture a moment or a memory and save it to your myspace or facebook..or just keep it on your phone, then they make sense. If you want to frame something...get a real camera. Thats my two cents. Good night!

New Shoot

My challenge on this set was the fact it was done in one of my friends hallways with no professional lighting....From the outcome, I'd say it wasn't that big of a deal. Thank you to the model and for my best friend for the photo assist help. I really appreciate it.
